Hoskin Financial Planning to Host Business Events
Hoskin Financial Planning, independent financial advisers in Maldon are to host a variety of events in the forthcoming year providing businesses with an opportunity to meet like-minded business owners and to benefit from educational talks from financial experts.
They will host a range of educational workshops working alongside other businesses to provide FREE industry information.
Hoskin Financial Planning alongside Maldon Business Association will also be hosting a variety of business lunches at local venues around Maldon with the aim of bringing the local business community together. Maldon Business Lunches are to be held on the third Tuesday of every month where an experienced speaker will be in attendance.
Maldon Business Networking Group 2nd Birthday Bash
The Maldon Business Networking Group will be celebrating their second birthday by hosting a networking birthday bash on their first business networking event of the year on Friday 18th January 2013.
The FREE group welcomes local businesses to join them every other Friday at the OAKhouse Bar in Maldon from 4.30pm to 6.30pm where you will have the opportunity to meet like-minded business people.

New Chairman for Maldon Business Association
It has been announced that Paul Hoskin is to become the new Chairman of the Maldon Business Association following the resignation of Mary Powell, of The Emporium due to work commitments. Mary will however continue her role as Vice Chairman of the Maldon Think Local Company, which raises awareness of shopping locally.
Paul, owner of Hoskin Financial Planning is said to be enthusiastic about growing the Maldon Business Association and is planning a range of networking and sponsorship opportunities for the forthcoming year that will suit all types of businesses.
Sarah Green’s Organics - Observer Food Monthly Award Winner
Now in their ninth year, the UK wide Observer Food Monthly Awards celebrate and reward the very best in British food and produce. A shortlist of finalists is compiled from postal and on-line votes by the public. The winners in the categories are chosen from the shortlist by a panel of judges which this year included well known OFM columnist and TV cook Nigel Slater.
Winner of the Best independent local retailer category in the 2012 awards was Growing Communities, a Hackney-based community-led organic social enterprise which over the last 18 years has built up a large fruit and vegetable box scheme, an organic market, and growing sites in London. The London grown produce is augmented by supplies from small growers in neighbouring counties – none of the produce travels far.
