The Jolly Sailor
The Jolly Sailor is a charming country inn and family restaurant, located in the village of Heybridge Basin overlooking the estuary.
Our chefs provide a range of culinary delights, using fresh, locally sourced food products. This is complimented by an extensive range of beers, ales, spirits and wines from our cellar.
The Jolly Sailor has been refurbished to a modern contemporary feel and features an outside BBQ and Fresh Sea food bar in a covered area open weekends. There are also evening quiz’s and live music nights.
Situated at the Blackwater and Chelmer Lock, it makes a pleasant trip on the river or canal, or a leisurely stroll to the historic town of Maldon.
